Who is Aerial Spartan?
I was never a fit kid. As a child I hated sports.
But soon after I moved to Munich in 2012 I started running. Very, very slowly at first, but I kept progressing. Soon I did my first 10km race, and a year later I signed up for a Half Marathon!
And slowly but steadily, I became passionate about fitness and sports, trying everything I could find: running, skiing, climbing, cross fit, freeletics, british military fitness, pilates, bikram yoga, golf, ski touring, hiking…
I now regularly run Half Marathons, Marathons and Ultramarathons on both road and trail, as well as obstacle course races.
I briefly discovered pole dancing when I studied abroad in Paris, taking beginners classes with (the then still unknown) Marion Crampe. It took a while until pole became available in my city, but then I practiced regularly.
After moving to London in 2015 I discovered the whole new world of aerial arts with hoop, silk, hammock and rope and was immediately hooked. (Literally).
Now I lam back in Austria and split my free time between running, strength training, Cross Fit and aerial stuff of all kinds, including stretching and contortion.
I also started the Aerial Spartan blog to document my journey to a fitter and healthier lifestyle. I chose the name Aerial Spartan because it perfectly combines my love of Aerial Arts (Pole Dance, Aerial Hoop and Aerial Silks) with my love for OCR (Spartan Race, Tough Mudder).
In 2018 I ran 12 Marathons in 12 months to raise money for the SOS Children’s Villages. you can find my race reviews and the results of my fundraising here!
In 2019 I am starting my biggest project so far: becoming a fit Mom and raising a strong and healthy child!
