Benefits and risks of exercise during pregnancy

When I found out I was pregnant with my first child I was currently in the process of running 12 Marathons for charity. I still had 2 Marathons to run, and I was scared that it would be a high risk if I continued to run. But I educated myself about exercising during pregnancy and and all the benefits and risks attached. In the end I ran two more Marathons in my first trimester, as I feld confident that it would not harm the baby.

I have collected all the knowledge about exercising during pregnancy that I gained through my research here and want to share it with you. Please bear in mind that I am not a doctor, midwife or personal trainer. Any pregnancy is different, so please condult your health professional beforehand.

Different fitness levels: how you can still work out with your buddy

If you are into fitness, sports and a healthy lifestyle it is very likely that you have friends that are too. And you would like to spend time with your friends, so working out together seems much more sensible than having coffee and cake or going to the pub. You might also want to work out with your significant other. (couples beware!)
But what if your workout buddy or workout partner has a completely different fitness level?

Very often it ends up being very boring for one buddy and frustrating for the other, resulting in frustration and conflict.

Six things I learned at the Runtastic Ambassador Weekend

It’s now been two weeks since I partcipated in the Runtastic Ambassador Weekend.

We had a great time visiting the Runtastic office (they have a slide!!!), spent some time sightseeing in Vienna, and worked out at the Runtastic Live Workout Party.
